Gary was born in the semi arid zone of Australia, and is often a little surprised to find himself living in the subtropics. Most of his career has been in wildlife conservation in one form or another. And much of that work has been with people rather than plants and animals, because it is people rather than the plants and animals that require a bit of a shake up. He spent 11 years working in central Australia and is thrilled to be having a conversation with another desertphile.
