Are you interested in hosting an author?
Each year, some of the strongest feedback from our guests is how much they have enjoyed their stay in Bellingen; getting to know a handful of locals, and finding a small, special place to call home for the festival weekend. We all know what an inspiring place Bellingen is (just ask Peter Carey), and this is your chance to share that experience with a visiting author.
The festival relies on the generosity and gregarious spirit of our hosts every year – it just wouldn’t be possible without their support. The arrival of Covid changed many people’s circumstances, and so we are reaching out to the Bellingen community in the hopes of finding further accommodation for our incredible 2023 line-up. In return you would not only get to personally meet an author, but you would also be compensated by seeing events at the festival itself.
You would also, of course, be doing us an enormous service and helping to be a part of what will be another highlight year in the festival’s remarkable history.
We are really interested in hearing from if you have
- accommodation within Bellingen to allow authors to be within walking distance of the venue and the main street
- a separate self-contained flat/studio/cabin in your property, or a separate space with private facilities within your home
