Bruce Pascoe is a Yuin, Bunurong and Tasmanian man who lives at Mallacoota where he grows Indigenous grains and tubers for Black Duck Foods.
He has published 38 books including Dark Emu, which won the NSW Premier’s Award for Literature in 2016, and Young Dark Emu which won both the Booksellers Association Prize and the CBCA non-fiction award in 2020.
In 2024 he is releasing two new books; his first novel, Imperial Harvest, and Black Duck, a memoir of life caring for Country co-written with Lyn Harwood.
Bruce is a Board Member of First Languages Australia and Professor of Indigenous Knowledge at the University of Technology Sydney.
